I acknowledge and understand that:
- my application for membership is for private recreational use and neither myself or my vessel are engaged in Commercial operations.
- I am required to hold a current boat driving license.
- my VMR Whitsunday membership provides Activation assistance within the operating zone as described on the VMR Whitsunday website
- I understand that I will receive one free activation within a time limit of 4 hours per membership year. Any additional hours will be charged at half-price of our then current activation fee.
- I understand that in the event of an activation, that I must be onboard the registered vessel in order to receive a free or discounted activation fee.
- I will be assisted to a boat ramp or marina within the operating zone or nearest safe haven at the VMR Skipper’s discretion.
- after joining VMR Whitsunday, my membership will take effect 24 hours beginning from midnight of the day fees are paid. For example, if I join and pay at 9:00pm, the 24 hour waiting period begins at midnight (i.e. 27 hours in total for this example). This condition also applies if a previous membership with VMR Whitsunday has expired.
- if I require my membership to be active at an earlier time, I must phone the Membership Officer on 0409 829 530 to receive confirmation that I am covered. This must be PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF THE VESSEL JOURNEY.
- by completing an application for membership (including renewal), I am declaring that at this time, I and my vessel are not in any imminent need of call out or in such condition or circumstances that a call out may be required in the next 48 hours.
- if I have not renewed my membership within 30 days of the expiry date:
- I will NOT be eligible for a free or discounted call-out fee, and will be liable for the current full standard call out fee.
- If I receive a discounted call-out fee for an activation within the 30 days of my expiry date, and then I do NOT renew my membership, I am liable for the full standard call-out fee for that activation.
- Additional conditions apply to jetski assistance.
- VMR Whitsunday reserves the right to refuse any application for membership (including renewal of membership).
- that my application for membership is subject to acceptance by VMR Whitsunday in accordance with its Constitution.
- under VMR Whitsunday’s Constitution, my membership will be terminated if fees are in arrears for 60 days or more.
- VMR Whitsunday membership is not transferable.
- I agree to the above terms and conditions.
