I acknowledge that this application for membership is for private recreational use and myself or my vessel are not engaged in Commercial operations.
I understand that I am required to hold a current boat driving license.
I understand that active participation and service on the VMR Whitsunday rescue boat is subject to induction, training & probationary conditions.
I acknowledge that my VMR Whitsunday membership provides Activation assistance within the operating zone described on the VMR Whitsunday website.
VMR Whitsunday reserves the right to refuse any application for membership (including renewal of membership).
I understand that this application is subject to acceptance by VMR Whitsunday in accordance with its Constitution.
Under VMR Whitsunday’s Constitution, membership may be terminated if fees are in arrears for two months or more.
Membership will normally take effect 24 hours from the close of business following the time of application and payment in full of membership fees (whichever is later). This also applies if a previous membership with VMR Whitsunday has expired.
Should an applicant require the membership to be active at an earlier time, you are required to email the Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org or call VMR on 07 4946 7207 to receive confirmation that you are covered. This must be PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF THE VESSEL JOURNEY. Failure to take this step means that you are not covered until 24 hours from the close of business following the time of application or payment in full of membership fees (whichever is later).
By completing an application for membership (including renewal), I am declaring that at this time, I and my vessel are not in any imminent need of call out or in such condition or circumstances that a call out may be required in the next 48 hours. I also agree to the above terms and conditions.
